The standard fanbelt found on the majority of engines.
If you are not sure which size you need, look along the circumference of your belt. It should show either 9.5 or 10 (the width) and then a 3 or 4 digit number, which is the length in mm. If we don't stock the same size as yours, consider whether a slighty longer or shorter one might be acceptable using the adjustment on your alternator bracket.
Even if you never intend to change a fanbelt yourself, it is well worth carrying a suitable spare so that it is available for a friend, mechanic or passing boater to fit for you!

Fuelset is widely recognised as the leading fuel additive for narrowboats. It dissolves water, kills fuel bug and improves engine performance and is used at a ratio of 4000:1 Just add it to your tank each time you fill up.
We stock it in 250ml, 500ml and 1l sizes (treating 1000, 2000 and 4000 litres of fuel).
These quality soundproofing panels dramatically reduce the noise emanating from the engine bay. Ideally all surrounding panels should be covered, but panels above the engine will make the most noticeable difference.
Each panel is 600mm x 900mm x 32mm thick (24" x 36" x 1 1/4") They can be stuck using your own adhesive or by using self adhesive panels - just peel off the protective sheet and satick to a clean dry surface)
Silver faced panels are non-inflammable (they won't burn!), whilst black faced panels do not support combustion (they will burn if you hold a flame near them, but will stop as soon as the flame is removed).
For a VERY quiet boat you cannot beat a hospital silencer. These units initially designed for generators used near hospitals to keep them quiet are excellent at making your boat whisper quiet, especially when used in conjunction with engine sound-proofing panels (see above)
The inlet and exhaust can be either on the end plate or up to half way along the cylinder, giving infinite variation
If you order here we will contact you to agree the exact arrangement as these units are made-to-measure
The Smartgauge is a very small, but very clever piece of equipment. It not only gives voltage readings for engine start and domestic batteries, but also gives a percentage reading of the amount of 'juice' left in your domestic batteries, based upon the usage. It is self calibrating and uses Peukerts law to do ts calculations.
It is almost compulsory equipment for continuous cruising live-aboards as it indicates when the engine should be started AND when it can b e stopped. It could pay for itself in months, certainly with the way fuel prices are going.
It can also be connected to the Smartbank battery management system.
For comprehensive details of the unit please see www.smartgauge.co.uk
The Smartbank unit is the clever way to connect batteries as required to ensure best charging. It should be used with one or more Smartrelays, depending on the number of battery banks

This system includes a Smartbank Advanced, a heavy duty Smartrelay and a 5 metre cable to cnnect between units.
This heavy duty relay ensures good connection of batteries and no overheating of the relay if large currents are passing through the contacts. It is ideal for the Smartgauge and Smartbank systems, but can be used by itself if required
