Land Line Extension Lead

To link your boat to a land line (240 volt supply) you will need one (or more) of these.

Each is fitted with a blue 3 pin marine plug at one end and similar socket at the other. Between the two is a length of 16 amp cable.

If you would like a length other than those shown please contact us to obtain a quote or to place an order.

Galvanic Isolator

A galvanic isolator is one of those items which you have to have faith in! It isolates the earth leakage of your boat's 240 volt supply from the same leakage of any other boat nearby.

You cannot see this earth leakage or its effects (rapid corrosion of your hull)  until the damage is done and by then it is too late.

If you connect your boat to a land line in a marina or in close proximity to other boats doing the same, you need a Galvanic Isolator.

The standard model is a 'fit and forget' item. The optional model with gauge allows you to check that it is working.

Meter Maid Electricity Monitor

Customers for this product either share a power supply and need to know exactly how much electricity they use, or they moor at a marina who charges them according to how much they use. In this situation either the marina owner insists on a Meter Maid, or the customer wants to check that he is actually using what he is being charged for. It comes with a marine plug and socket fitted and displays kwh used.

Land Line Conversion Lead

Typically a land line (240 volt supply) you will use a lead with marine plugs and sockets, but these converters allow you to switch to domestic 3 pin square connections.

The marine plug lead has a 3 pin square trailing socket.

The marine socket lead has a 3 pin square plug.

Smartgauge

The Smartgauge is a very small, but very clever piece of equipment. It not only gives voltage readings for engine start and domestic batteries, but also gives a percentage reading of the amount of 'juice' left in your domestic batteries, based upon the usage. It is self calibrating and uses Peukerts law to do ts calculations.

It is almost compulsory equipment for continuous cruising live-aboards as it indicates when the engine should be started AND when it can be stopped. It could pay for itself in months, certainly with the way fuel prices are going.

It can also be connected to the Smartbank battery management system.

For comprehensive details of the unit please see www.smartgauge.co.uk

Smartbank

The Smartbank unit is the clever way to connect batteries as required to ensure best charging. It should be used with one or more Smartrelays, depending on the number of battery banks

This system includes a Smartbank Advanced, a heavy duty Smartrelay and a 5 metre cable to connect between units.

Smartrelay

This heavy duty relay ensures good connection of batteries and no overheating of the relay if large currents are passing through the contacts. It is ideal for the Smartgauge and Smartbank systems, but can be used by itself if required

Relays are available for 12 volt systems or 24 volt systems - please specify which you require.
